Werther was appointed Managing Director of Enel Green Power (EGP) in Australia in January 2021. Werther first joined Enel Group in 2010 working across international mergers and acquisitions, leading EGP’s business development across North Africa and the Middle East and then as Managing Director for EGP in Morocco.

Prior to joining Enel Green Power, Werther held roles within the Italian public and private sectors, focussed on business development, as well as the United Nations.

Werther has a Bachelor of International Relations from the University of Trieste, a Master of Business Administration (Executive) from Bocconi Business School of Management and extensive post graduate qualifications focussed on corporate finance, renewable energy, and sustainable development, across Harvard Kennedy and Columbia Business Schools.

Werther is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia.
