Sasha Courville is responsible for Corporate Responsibility Strategy at NAB.
Until joining the Corporate Responsibility team, her main focus was on driving NAB’s Natural Value Strategy out of Finance and Strategy, looking at how the organisation manages natural capital risks, takes advantage of new opportunities and supports their customers to do the same.
Prior to joining NAB, Sasha was the Executive Director of the ISEAL Alliance, the global association for sustainability standards and assurance systems, systems that have played key roles in defining productivity in value chains.
ISEAL members include the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, the Forest Stewardship Council and the Rainforest Alliance, among others.
Sasha has also been an academic, based at the Regulatory Institutions Network at the ANU in Canberra and was responsible for setting up Fairtrade in Australia and New Zealand.
Sasha has a PhD on coffee from the ANU, an MSc from the London School of Economies and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from York University in Canada.
