Fabienne Michaux | Director, SDG Impact, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)


Fab is Director, SDG Impact at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in its Sustainable Finance Hub and is the lead developer of UNDP’s SDG Impact Standards.  SDG Impact was established in 2019 to accelerate the mobilisation of private sector capital towards sustainability and achievement of the SDGs by helping businesses and investors place sustainability, the SDGs and managing for impact at the core of organizational purpose and internal decision-making and making it easier for organizations to direct capital to where it is needed most. SDG Impact leverages UNDP’s unique role and capabilities to provide education and training, internal management standards, an assurance framework and SDG Impact Seal based on the standards, as well as market intelligence on SDG-enabling investable business models and opportunity areas in developing markets.

Fab also co-chairs the Australian Advisory Board on Impact Investing. She was a member of the G7 Impact Taskforce working group A on impact transparency, integrity, and reporting, and co-chaired the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative’s working group on making better decisions (standards, data, frameworks and tools) and contributing author of the final roadmap and recommendations report.  Fab previously enjoyed a 30-year executive career, including 22 years with S&P Global in the Global Ratings division where in her final role she was the Head of Developed Markets Asia-Pacific. She is also an experienced non-executive director.
